The Paranormal War on Terror By Annie Brown/ Source: Daily Record Secret documents have revealed the MoD have been studying the paranormal and other unexplained scientific phenomenon for use in the war against terror. The newly released files show that just after 9/11, the Ministry of Defence conducted a research project into psychics - with the possibility they could be used to locate terrorist cells. Last night saw the UK debut of the eagerly anticipated US TV show Fringe, which takes its name from fringe science, an umbrella term for such bizarre notions as ghosts, UFOs, psychics and invisibility. The series, from JJ Abrams, the creator of Lost, centres on FBI agent Olivia Dunham and uses paranormal plots following in the X-Files tradition. Coincidentally, as the show takes off, the truth of just how seriously our Government have taken fringe science is slowly emerging. As Abrams has said: "Though you could say it's science fiction, the weird thing about Fringe is that a lot of the stuff is at least in the realm of possibility. "When Star Trek came out and they had their communicators, that was a cool dream. Now, in our pockets, we all have communicators. We read a week ago that invisibility is coming. There's stuff you wouldn't think in a million years is possible, and it's happening every day." That's also the official approach according to Nick Pope, who once ran the MoD's UFO project. He said: "Everything that you think is Sci-Fi, someone in government or in the private sector is trying to get it to work." Are Ghosts Calling Your Cell Phone? Let us look at some of them: 1. Fly and have fun! In the Astral world even the sky is NOT the limit. You can fly way beyond the blue skies. Or glide through the air or float like a balloon. Want to have a bird's eye view of our city? No problem! Or maybe jump off mountains and somersault in mid-air! Imagine being able to glide over the ocean like a seagull, or dive inside and swim like a fish! If you want you can even propel out into the infinite space and explore the planets, heavenly bodies and other distant galaxies. We can visit any city on this planet and other planets as well. We can go and check out friends in another corner of the world! 2. Confirmed belief in life after death A fully conscious Astral Projection gives us the ability to obtain firsthand knowledge that we can exist outside our bodies. It provides us irrefutable personal evidence that we are immortal. If it is possible for our consciousness to exist outside our body, then it is also possible that our consciousness survives physical death. This belief removes fear of death completely. It reassures us that there is life after death and you absolutely know that you continue after kicking the bucket! 3. Get glimpses of your past life and know your purpose of existence As we experience more and more Projections, we start getting glimpses of our past lives. These memories aid in finding our purpose of existence. The information gained can help us know ourselves better. We can overcome certain traumas and cure certain illnesses. We get a sense of universalism, the feeling of which is ecstatic. We expand self-awareness, increase our level of maturity, and also accelerate our spiritual evolution. Napoleon Hill's Most Controversial Technique When Napoleon Hill published "Think and Grow Rich" in 1937, it wasn't as critically acclaimed as it is today. But it's since gone on to become one of the most quoted, read and critically acclaimed personal growth books ever. Yet despite written for an audience that had never heard of things like "meditation", the book contained one technique that was highly controversial.
